I am a 59 year old grandmother who has finally decided what she will be when she grows up: A Freedom Facilitator.
I was born in the Netherlands, came to Canada in 1969. I am proud to be Canadian, but will always remain a little bit Dutch. I studied French language and literature at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A geology job for my husband brought us to the West Kootenay area in 1970. We fell in love with the lakes and mountains, bought an acreage, and have done whatever it took to stay put here.
This included living the pioneer life in a tipi, while I earned our
living as a waitress and my geologist husband built a log home. By the
way, we may be the only people on the planet to have combined tipi
dwelling with the wearing of wooden shoes.
Later on a thirteen year stint as a Home Support Worker was a great way
to get to know the community and to develop people skills.
These days the networking business gets top priority. Thanks to the internet partnerships are possible with people who live as far away as Hawaii, Florida and Vermont!
I am a life long student of nutrition, with a particular interest in helping people with Attention Deficit problems.
I also practice the healing arts of Reflexology and Reiki, grow great garlic and echinacea, and promote understanding of self and others through astrology.
Ieneke, you are magnificent because you have vision and you share your love with the world.
